Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs recipe tips
When making Cajun shrimp deviled eggs, there are a few things to keep in mind.
- First, make sure to use cooked shrimp, either boiled or grilled. If you’re using boiled shrimp, be sure to cool them down before adding them to the deviled egg mixture.
- Secondly, make the cajun sauce ahead of time so it has time to cool down. This will help prevent the deviled eggs from becoming too spicy.
- Finally, pipe the deviled egg mixture into the cooked egg whites for a more polished presentation.
Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs recipe variations
Here are a few variations on the recipe that you can try at home:
- Bacon and cheddar: This variation is simple but delicious. To make it, cook some bacon until crisp, then chop it into small pieces. Mix the bacon with shredded cheddar cheese and cajun seasoning, then spoon it over the deviled eggs.
- Crab and cajun: Another variation that adds a bit of seafood flavor is to mix in some crabmeat with the shrimp. This gives the eggs a richer flavor and makes them a bit more filling.
