There are so many reasons you should add hard-boiled eggs to everyday recipes. Here are a few:

  • They are packed with protein and omega fats for a healthy and nutritious snack.

  • Kids love them too!

How to make the perfect hard boiled eggs?

Perfect hard-boiled eggs are made in a rolling boil with a pinch of baking soda added to the water. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, turn off the heat, cover your pot, and allow the eggs to sit in hot water for 12 minutes for the perfect hard-boiled egg.

How long does it take to boil a hard egg?

If you factor in the time it takes to boil the water, you can get a perfectly hard-boiled egg in about 15-20 minutes. It could take a few minutes less if you are using a gas stove.

Do you put eggs in hot or cold water to boil?

It’s best to submerge the eggs in cool water and bring them to a rolling boil to get the best result for hard-boiled eggs. The water and egg temperature will rise simultaneously, allowing for more even cooking and stopping them from cracking.

How do you know when an egg is boiled?

You can use the spin test to determine if an egg is boiled entirely. If it wobbles and spins slowly, it still has liquid inside. You can also hold the egg to your ear and give it a gentle shake. If you hear the liquid moving around, it’s not done.
