This dish is so rich and creamy it really does not need anything to improve it. However, there are some people who like adding additional ingredients. You could add broccoli, any type of meat that you prefer or choose a spice or herb to add some extra flavor.

How can I keep Mac and Cheese creamy?

There are a couple of ideas that you can follow to help keep this Creamy Macaroni and Cheese Creamy. One, do not overcook the macaroni. You want to boil the pasta to the AlDente stage. This will prevent the pasta from absorbing too much liquid from the dish. You can also use a really good quality cheese on the top that will help to keep the Macaroni and Cheese creamy.

Can I use already shredded cheese for this recipe of Macaroni and Cheese?

I would suggest this only when you are in a pinch for time. Otherwise, this dish is much better when you can take the time to shred it yourself.

Why is my Macaroni and Cheese mushy?

This is likely due to the pasta being cooked too long, you also may not have used enough cheese in the recipe. If you used milk rather than cream, the milk is a thinner liquid which will change the consistency.
