This is the best Crack and Cheese recipe that I’ve ever come to try… SO GOOD!

If you are a true Mac and Cheese fan like me you won’t be disappointed with my Crack and Cheese recipe.

Crack and Cheese

Prep Time: 10 minutes – Cook Time: 30 minutes – Servings: 6

Ingredients for Crack and Cheese:

2 ½ C. elbow macaroni

6 tbsp unsalted sweet cream butter

¼ C. flour

2 C. whole milk

4 C. cheddar cheese plus 1 C for topping

⅔ C. cream cheese

1 ⅓ C. cottage cheese

1 large tomato diced

How To Make Crack and Cheese:

Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2. Follow the back of the elbow macaroni box to boil the macaroni

Step 3. Once the macaroni has been cooked and drained, set aside

Step 4. Using a large saucepan, melt the butter

Step 5. Once the butter is melted, whisk in the flour

Step 6. Once the flour and butter is combined, whisk in the milk until combined

Step 7. Continue to whisk until thick

Step 8. Whisk in the cheese, cream cheese, and cottage cheese until combined

Then you will have:

Step 9. Remove from stove

Step 10. Gently fold in the macaroni into the cheese mixture

Step 11. Fold in half of the diced tomato

Step 12. Once coated, scoop the mac and cheese into a 9×13 baking dish

Step 13. Sprinkle 1 C of the cheddar cheese on top and remaining tomatoes

Step 14. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the cheese is a golden brown and melted

Step 15. Remove and serve!
