The first time I tried this recipe for lasagna was over eight years ago and it quickly becomes a family favorite.

It is one of the first recipes that I made from Allrecipes.com. It had so many rave reviews that I just couldn’t pass it up. A little tweaking here and there has made this recipe my go-to comforting Italian dish. 

Easy Skillet Lasagna

This lasagna is an easy recipe perfect for feeding a crowd.

Easy Skillet Lasagna

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 35-45 minutes

Servings: 6

What you need to make this Easy Skillet Lasagna:

1 lb. Ground beef

½ lb. Ground Italian sausage

1 C. Water

1 Jar spaghetti sauce

½ C. Grated parmesan

12 oz. Cottage cheese

1 large egg

1 Tbsp. Dried parsley

1 green bell pepper chopped

¼ C. Onion chopped

2 C. Shredded Italian style cheese

6 Lasagna noodles broken into pieces

How to make This Easy Skillet Lasagna:

Step 1. Cook the meat and vegetables over medium-high heat in a large skillet until the meat is browned completely, and the vegetables have begun to soften. Drain any excess fat.

Step 2. Reduce the heat to medium-low, and add the water, spaghetti sauce, and noodles to the skillet with the meat and vegetables. Stir to combine, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 3. In a bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, egg, dried parsley, and Parmesan cheese.

Step 4. Spread the cottage cheese mixture over the ingredients in the skillet, sprinkle with the cheese,
