What is Cobbler exactly?
Georgia Peach Cobbler is a dessert that is made with sweet, sliced peaches, a buttery, sweet batter. Together it is a true classic Southern dessert.
Do I need to cook the peaches first before using them?
No, cooking them first is not needed. Slice the peaches and combine them with the other ingredients and bake the cobbler.
Can I use canned or frozen peaches?
Certainly, if you do not have access to fresh peaches you can use frozen or canned peaches. Be sure to drain the canned peaches and thaw the frozen peaches.
Do I need to peel the peaches first?
It is not necessary to peel the peaches. The skin on a ripe peach is thin enough that it is not going to affect anything. However, should you decide to peel, simply blanch the peaches and the skin should peel off easily.
