Gooey Butter Bars. One of my favorites!!!!

Gooey Butter Bars

These Gooey Butter Bars have a perfect chewy crust with a custardy cream cheese layer of perfection.

Gooey Butter Bars

Makes: 1 9×9 baking dish

Prep time: 15 minutes

Bake time: 50 minutes

Total time: 65 minutes

Ingredients for Gooey Butter Bars:

1 box yellow cake mix

½ C melted butter

2 large eggs

Cream cheese layer ingredients

1 – 8oz cream cheese, softened

2 large eggs

4 C powdered sugar

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

How to make Gooey Butter Bars:

Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9×9 baking dish with pam baking spray

Using a large bowl, beat together the cake mix, melted butter and two large eggs

Press into the 9×13 baking dish

Using another large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, eggs, and vanilla until combined

Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until combined and smooth

Pour over the bottom layer and bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is a light golden

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting and enjoying!
