But wait until you try Chicken Tuscan Pasta. This takes the same old pasta recipe and gives it a completely new taste and flavor. This creamy garlic sauce makes the pasta taste phenomenal and the tender chicken makes this recipe perfect for an easy weeknight or a meal for guests.

Whenever you are making pasta in the Instant Pot, you want to avoid thin noodles. Noodles that have fast cooking time. These noodles will overcook and become mush in the Instant Pot. After you have cooked the chicken, you will be ready to cook the noodles and make the creamy sauce. This creamy sauce uses chicken broth and evaporated milk while cooking the noodles. At the end, the sauce is finished off with cream cheese and parmesan cheese. Together this makes an amazing creamy sauce.

Ingredients in Instant Pot Chicken Tuscan Pasta

  • Olive oil
  • boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Garlic powder
  • Oregano
  • Onion powder
  • Paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • Onion
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
  • garlic
  • Italian seasoning
  • Evaporated milk
  • Chicken broth
  • shell pasta
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Cream cheese
  • Fresh spinach

How to Make Chicken Tuscan Pasta

Step 1. Mix all of the ingredients for the chicken except for the olive oil together in a small bowl. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the mixture.

Step 2. Turn the Instant Pot on to the saute function, and place the 2 tablespoons of olive oil in it.

Step 3. Once heated, place the chicken into the Instant Pot, and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken, and place it onto a plate.

Step 4. Add another tablespoon of oil to the Instant Pot, and mix in the onions. Saute for a minute or two, and then mix in the garlic.

Step 5. Toss in the sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine.

Step 6. Mix in the chicken broth, evaporated milk and medium-sized shell pasta, stirring well.

Step 7. Place the chicken on top of the pasta mixture, and place the lid on the Instant Pot. Make sure the release valve is pointing to the sealing position.

Step 8. Set the manual setting for 4 minutes on high pressure.

Step 9. As soon as the cook time is done, carefully move the release valve to the venting position to perform a quick release.

Step 10. Remove the chicken, and set it aside. Stir the remaining ingredients in the pot.

Step 11. Set the Instant Pot to the saute function, and mix in the cream cheese until completely melted.

Step 12. Sprinkle in the parmesan cheese, and then toss in the fresh spinach, and stir until completely wilted and combined.

Step 13. Turn the Instant Pot off.

Step 14. Chop chicken into bite-sized pieces, and return it to the Instant Pot. Stir carefully so that all of the ingredients combine well.

  • 2 Large boneless skinless chicken breasts, or the equivalent of 1 ½ lbs.
  • 1 tsp. Thyme
  • 1 tsp. Rosemary
