Why I love Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce?
- Each ingredient in this recipe complements the pork chops perfectly.
- Once everything comes together, the dish cooks very fast (although it will taste like it took all day).
- The boneless chops are juicy and moist because they cook in a flavorful, rich sauce.
What is the secret to juicy pork chops?
Sauce, sauce, sauce. That is the secret to a nice and juicy pork chop. Boneless meat can dry out quickly when it’s not cooked with the right technique, but these chops won’t have that problem.
What is the best way to cook pork chops so they are not tough?
The best way to ensure a tender and juicy pork chop is to not overcook it. It can be tempting to cook pork for long periods of time, but overcooking it really does compromise the texture and the taste. Following this recipe, you will cook great pork chops in the right amount of time.
Is it better to cook pork chops fast or slow?
This recipe uses boneless pork chop cuts. So, these pork chops will cook faster. However, other cuts of pork may take longer to cut, depending on the cut and size of the meat. Bigger cuts (or bone-in pork) typically take longer to cook.
How to serve Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce?
When you serve a garlic pork chop in creamy mushroom sauce, the meal practically begs for a side of starch. So, mashed potatoes are a nice addition to the plate. You can also break out some freshly baked bread to sop up some of that delicious sauce, too. Green beans are a nice veggie to add as a side.
Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce Cooking Tips:
- Make sure to remove the lumps in the flour by constantly stirring. Leaving uncooked lumps of flour in the mushroom sauce will compromise the flavor.
- When adding the beef broth, do it slowly. This ensures a velvety texture for the mushroom sauce.
- When adding the pork chops at the end of the dish, make sure to cook them for just a couple of minutes, maximum. You don’t want to overcook the chops.

How Do You Make It? Let’s get cooking!
Step 1: First you are going to season your pork chops. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper and don’t forget the paprika.
Step 2: Grab a large skillet and heat over medium-high; add 2 tablespoons of butter, stirring until completely melted. Sear your pork chops until they are no longer pink in the center. You want them to be a golden brown! Generally it’s about 2 to 4 minutes per side but depending on the thickness, it may be longer. Once they are thoroughly cooked, remove them from the skillet and set to the side.

Step 3: In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium-high heat. You are going to add in your mushrooms and cook until the excess moisture evaporates and until they are golden. They should be done within 5 minutes. Add in your mustard and garlic; cook about 1 minutes. You know it’s done because the garlic will be very fragrant!

Step 4: Now you want to add the flour to the skillet. Keep stirring until there are no lumps in the flour. Slowly add beef broth and whisk until it’s smooth. Top it off with salt and pepper. Reduce your heat to medium and simmer. Don’t forget to stir until the sauce thickens. This should be about 5 minutes.
Step 5: Return your pork chops to the skillet and warm them up until heated through. I would say about 1 -2 minutes because you want to serve them hot.
Wasn’t that so easy? Dinner will be ready in no time. The smell of these is going to have your mouth watering as you cook!

Cooked pork chops should be tightly sealed before being put away in the fridge. You can use sturdy plastic wrap or aluminum foil to get the job done. If you use a container, make sure it is airtight and shallow.
How to reheat Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce?
Since this recipe has a flour-based saucy component, you may want to heat up some water before reheating the dish (a couple of inches would do the trick) on a stovetop for 5 minutes. That would keep the sauce smooth and allow it to thicken properly. If using a microwave, zap it in for a couple of minutes and make sure to stir it well.
How much does Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce last on the fridge?

Can I make ahead Pork Chop in Garlic Mushroom Sauce?
You can certainly preseason your pork chops before making the dish. Be careful with the salt though. Pork chops can be salted for up to two hours before cooking the recipe. Any more time than that will render super salty pork.
