What is Texas roadhouse seasoning?

If you’ve ever been to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, you know how tender and juicy their steaks are! The secret lies in the seasoning they use to rub on their steaks. It’s pretty basic and comprises of salt, pepper, garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, turmeric,  chili powder, and brown sugar. It’s not very spicy; however, it is mouthwateringly savory and is a great seasoning to enhance the taste of your steaks and meats.

Texas Roadhouse Seasoning vs other seasonings

The difference between Texas Roadhouse seasoning and other seasonings is that it contains a blend of different spices and a dash of brown sugar. Plus, the garlic powder and onion powder give it a slightly tangy flavor that highlights the taste of steaks. The combination of different spices and the fact that the seasoning is just right to give flavor to the steak makes it different from other seasonings.

What cut of steak is the most tender?

If you want to make the perfect steak that’s tender and juicy, I recommend using the filet mignon. It is cut from the center of the beef tenderloin and turns into buttery melt-in-the-mouth goodness when seared, grilled, or broiled.

However, the ribeye, t-bone, and porterhouse cuts are also suitable for steaks.

Although there’s no rule of thumb on how much seasoning to use, you can use 1 tablespoon of seasoning per pound of steak. This is just a rough measure, so you don’t over-season or under-season your steak.
