These are drop biscuits, meaning no rolling and cutting. Just drop spoonfuls on the tray and bake them up. Be sure to add in Garlic and make it even more savory. These are perfect to serve with dinner or have them as a snack.

When they are warmed up and the Cheese is all melted, combined with the Garlic and Parsley these are the best rivals to Red Lobster biscuits.

My only warning is that they are highly addictive!

Why I love Cheesy Quick Biscuits?

  • The combination of warm, fluffy, savory biscuits and melted cheese creates a delicious and comforting snack or side dish that is quick and easy to make.
  • The garlic and parsley seasoning adds an extra layer of flavor that makes these biscuits even more irresistible.

Instead of Garlic Powder, could I add minced Garlic?

Oh my goodness! That is a great idea. Can you imagine how the freshly minced Garlic is going to taste? Yes, go ahead and add the minced Garlic, I am going to try that myself right now!

Are there any tips you can suggest?

Be sure to use Cold Butter. This will give the biscuits a flaky texture and a buttery taste. Do not overwork the dough. When the dough is overworked, the biscuits become dense and tough. Mix just until the ingredients are incorporated.

How to serve Cheesy Quick Biscuits?

  • Cheesy Quick Biscuits can be served warm as a side dish or snack, or paired with soup or salad for a heartier meal.
  • They also make a great addition to a brunch spread.
  • To add a bit of extra flavor, you could serve them with a side of garlic butter or honey butter.

How To Make Homemade Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Rest assured these divine garlic cheese biscuits are super easy to throw together. You only need 8 ingredients, and they take very little work so that you can focus on other projects. Here are the simple steps:

Cheesy Quick Biscuits Ingredients

First Step: Place butter in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. This will make it easier to work with.

Second Step: Mix flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, and parsley together in a large bowl.

Flour mix with seasoning

Third Step: Remove your chilled butter from the freezer and dice it into small pieces. You can use a knife and cutting board to chop your butter into little cubes, but I actually prefer to use a cheese grater to shred my butter!

I find it much easier to incorporate shreds of butter into the flour mix than cubes.

Fourth Step: Incorporate the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

You can use a fork, a pastry knife, or your own two hands to incorporate the ingredients at this stage in the process.

Fifth Step: Add shredded cheese to the dry ingredients and butter.

Sixth Step: Then, add your milk. Make a small well in the center of the flour and cheese mixture, add some of your liquid, and stir with a fork to combine. Continue to add milk and stir until it becomes a soft dough and all of the flour has been incorporated into the mix.

Baker’s Notes:

  • Be careful – don’t over-stir or overwork your dough unless you want to end up with flat biscuits.
  • The dough should be slightly wet but workable. If your dough seems too wet, add a tablespoon or two of flour – or a bit more shredded cheese – and see if that solves your problem.

Seventh Step: Drop biscuit dough in heaping tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper or an ungreased baking sheet, leaving a couple of inches between each biscuit. Bake for 15 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn golden. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
