Why I love Blackberry Cobbler?
Blackberries taste like warm summer days and cool breezes. This recipe is a great way to take advantage of seasonal fruit in the store. Additionally, this is an easy blackberry cobbler recipe you can whip up quickly.
What is the difference between blackberry pie and blackberry cobbler?
While they may seem similar, blackberry pie and blackberry cobbler are two distinctive desserts. Cobbler features a sweetened biscuit-style crust that floats atop the blackberry filling. Blackberry pie has a pie crust that is rolled out and baked in a pie pan.
How do you prepare blackberries for a cobbler?
As with all produce, you will need to wash the berries before you use them, as well as remove any leaves or specks of dirt that you see. Pat the berries dry before you put them in the cobbler. Do not wash the berries until right before you want to use them because rinsed berries spoil more quickly.
How do you keep a blackberry cobbler from being runny?
Many people love the runny juice on the bottom of the blackberry cobbler, but if you prefer a cobbler with a less runny filling, you can add a couple of tablespoons of flour to the blackberry and sugar mixture after you have removed it from the heat.
How to serve Blackberry Cobbler?
This blackberry cobbler recipe is best served warm, so allow it to cool after baking for about half an hour. Blackberry cobbler is served by scooping the warm cobbler out into bowls. You can eat it plain, or you can top the cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
Blackberry Cobbler Cooking Tips:
