Iron Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

So, what makes this cobbler so special? It’s that iron skillet crust. If you are new to cooking, let us clue you in on a little culinary secret. If you want a really crunchy, crispy crust on just about anything, cook it in an iron skillet. Why does an iron skillet give you a better crust on dishes? The cast iron used to make iron skillets retains heat better. This ensures that the crust is cooked thoroughly and produces a nice crunch around the edges. When you are making a cobbler that edge crunch is exactly what you want too. A great cobbler will be nice and crisp around the sides and then softer towards the middle.
