Milk is a common ingredient in meatloaf, but some people prefer to use water. There are pros and cons to both choices.

Water is less expensive than milk, so that could be a consideration if you are on a budget. It also has a milder flavor than milk, so it might be a good choice if you are looking for something that doesn’t have too much of a taste.

However, milk can add moisture and richness to meatloaf, which can be nice. It can also help to bind the ingredients together and add some flavor. So if you are looking for something that is going to be really flavorful, milk might be a better choice.

Why is my meatloaf so crumbly?

There are a few potential reasons why your meatloaf might be crumbly. One reason might be that you didn’t knead the meatloaf enough, which could cause it to fall apart when cooked. Another possibility is that you might have used too many breadcrumbs or not enough wet ingredients, which would make the loaf dry and crumble easily. You can try adding an extra egg or some more moisture next time, such as tomato sauce or beef broth, to help keep the loaf together.
