How to store and reheat leftover Philly cheese steak meatloaf

Storing

When it comes to storing Philly cheese steak meatloaf, there are a few different things that you can do. The best way to store meatloaf is in the fridge, where it will stay fresh for up to four days.

Freezing

If you want to freeze your meatloaf, make sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil before placing it in a freezer bag. It will stay fresh in the freezer for up to four months. When you’re ready to reheat your meatloaf, place it in a baking dish and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes.

What to Do With Leftover Meatloaf

If you’re lucky enough to have any leftover Philly cheesesteak meatloaf, there are plenty of things you can do with it. You can enjoy it for lunch or dinner the following day, or you can freeze it for later. Here are a few ideas:

  • Reheat in the microwave: If you want to eat your Philly cheesesteak meatloaf straight out of the microwave, that’s easy to do. Just place it in a microwave-safe dish, cover it, and heat for a few minutes until it’s hot.
  • Reheat in the oven: Another option is to reheat your Philly cheesesteak meatloaf in the oven. This will give it a slightly different flavor and texture than microwaving it. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place your meatloaf in an oven-safe dish. Bake for about 20 minutes or until it’s hot all the way through.
  • Sandwich filler: If you’re looking for a quick and easy lunch idea, consider using your leftover Philly cheesesteak meatloaf as a sandwich filler. All you need is some bread, cheese, and condiments and you’re good to go.
  • Salad topper: Another way to use up your leftover meatloaf is to top a salad with it. This is a great option if you’re looking for a light meal or if you’re trying to eat more vegetables. Just add some chopped meatloaf to your favorite greens and enjoy.
  • Soup starter: If you want to turn your Philly cheesesteak meatloaf into a soup, that’s easy to do. Just add it to any vegetable soup recipe or make a simple broth-based soup and include the meatloaf as one of the ingredients. It’s a great way to stretch leftovers and make them into something new.

Why is my meatloaf dry and crumbly?

There are a few common reasons why meatloaf can turn out dry and crumbly. One reason might be that the pan was too hot when the meatloaf was cooking, so the outside got overcooked before the inside had a chance to cook through. Another possibility is that there wasn’t enough moisture in the recipe, which caused the meatloaf to dry out as it cooked. And finally, if you’re using ground beef that’s been frozen, it can sometimes cause meatloaf to be crumbly because of the ice crystals that form when it thaws.

How Long To Cook Meatloaf?

How long to cook meatloaf will vary depending on the recipe you are following, as well as the size and shape of your meatloaf. In general, though, meatloaf cooked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit should take between 45 and 50 minutes.

You can use a meat thermometer to test for doneness – when the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit, your meatloaf is cooked through.

Best Meat for Meatloaf

When it comes to the best meat for meatloaf, there are a few different options that you can choose from. The most popular type of meatloaf is made with ground beef, but you can also use ground pork, turkey, or lamb. If you want to add a bit of extra flavor to your meatloaf, you can also use bacon or sausage.
