Why Do We Love This Grilled Shrimp Recipe?
Serving up a plate of Grilled Garlic Herb Shrimp is an instant mood-lifter. The combination of garlic, Italian seasoning, and herbs makes it incredibly flavorful. Plus, the added lemon juice and olive oil give it a nice tang and richness. And it’s ridiculously versatile. You can add heat, change up the herbs or serve it over a bed of spaghetti or rice; you choose.
What Can I Serve with Grilled Garlic Shrimp?
These shrimp are the best finger food ever. But you do need supporters for it, like some salad or even a side dish. So, here are my best experiments that I just know you’ll love.
- A light and delicious garlic butter pasta
- Grilled vegetable salad with a balsamic dressing
- Crunchy slaw salad with almonds and apples
- Garlic mashed potatoes
- Roasted cauliflower and mushrooms
- You can even make yummy garlic bread to go with it.
How Long Should I Marinate Them?
It depends on how much time you have. If you’re making a quick dinner, then 10 minutes is all you need. Otherwise, if you have the time and patience, marinate it for two to three hours. I don’t marinate them for longer than that because shrimp soak flavors quickly, and they will be overdone if you keep them in the marinade for too long.

How to Store Grilled Shrimp?
Leftovers are rare in my case. But if you do end up with extra, you can store them in an airtight container for up to 4 days. You can also freeze it if you want. Foil-wrap them before storing them, and they’ll easily last you three months.
How to Reheat Grilled Shrimp?
Simply turn your oven to 375°F and bake the shrimp for about 5 minutes. You can also microwave them for 45-60 seconds. If you’re using the BBQ, lightly brush them with some oil and cook for around 3 minutes on each side.
Tips and Tricks for a Perfect Result
- Soak the wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using them. They won’t burn when you put them on the grill
- Make sure to cover your shrimp completely with the marinade, including the sides and back of each one
- You can reduce the brown sugar if you want to make a healthier version
- If you don’t have paprika, feel free to swap it with other spices like cumin
- If you want to spice things up, try adding some red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper
- Always pick fresh ingredients over frozen
