Prep Time: 15 minutesCook Time: 15-20 minutesServings: 6

Ingredients For Homemade Chalupas:

6 Pieces of pita bread

1 lb. Ground beef

1 Packet of taco seasoning

1 C. Shredded cheddar cheese

Shredded lettuce

Chopped tomatoes

Oil for frying

How To Make Homemade Chalupas:

Step 1. Heat some oil in a deep sided skillet.

Step 2. Fry the pita bread for 1-2 minutes on each side until it is browned and fluffy. Drain on a paper towel lined plate.

Step 3. Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium hight heat and cook until browned completely.

Step 4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the taco seasoning. Saute for a few more minutes.

Step 5. Place a layer of shredded lettuce into each of the fried pita breads and top with the meat and chopped tomatoes.

Step 6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and serve.
