I have to say that the best way to cook it is to bake or roast in the oven. This helps the fat drip out of the chicken and also there is no oil needed to fry the chicken.

You can replace the chicken breast with a Pork Chop or Pork Tenderloin. You could add mushrooms to give more of an earthy flavor to the dish. You could also switch the type of Cheese, for instance, use a pepper Jack Cheese.

How to make Outback Steakhouse Alice Springs Chicken:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise.

Step 3. Season each side of the chicken with salt and pepper to taste, and bake for 25 minutes.
