Can You Do Foil Packets in the Oven for Cajun Shrimp?

When preparing this meal, you can place your foil packets directly on the oven’s rack. You can also put them on a cooking sheet to make removing them easier.

How Do You Cook Shrimp and Keep It Juicy?

Cooking shrimp in foil helps keep it juicy by letting it cook in its juice in the oven. It also mixes well with the sausage’s juices to cook smoothly and effectively.

What is the Best Cooking Method for Shrimp?

Grilled shrimp is juicy and possesses a slightly burned texture that makes it even better. However, this oven-based cooking method retains most of its nutrients and keeps it just as rich in flavor.

How to Serve Cajun Shrimp in Foil?

You can open up your foil package and eat the meal right out of it. However you may also spoon it onto a plate if you like, but make sure you keep it in its juice.

Cooking Tips:

  • Make sure the foil is wrapped correctly to trap steam inside as it cooks
  • Spread the foil packets evenly in the oven to maximize heat coverage
  • Keep some extra Cajun seasoning on hand to sprinkle on top after cooking

Variations:

  • Add chicken instead of sausage for a healthier alternative
  • Mix in some avocado to give it a richer flavor
  • Cook the foil on a grill to give it a smokier flavor
