Crockpot Bowtie Casserole

Ingredients for Crockpot Bowtie Casserole:

1 ½ lb. Ground beef

1 tsp. Minced garlic

1 Onion chopped

1 tsp. Oregano

1 tsp. Italian seasoning

15 oz. Can stewed tomatoes

15 oz. Can Tomato sauce

10 oz. Fresh or frozen spinach

16 oz. Bowtie pasta

½ C. Parmesan cheese

1 ½ C. Mozzarella cheese shredded

Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Crockpot Bowtie Casserole:

Step1: Place the ground beef and onion in a skillet. Saute until the beef is browned and the onions have softened. Drain any remaining fat.

Step2: Add the garlic to the skillet and saute 30 seconds longer.

Step3: Place the meat mixture into the bottom of a crockpot.

Step4: Cover the meat mixture with the stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine well.

Step5: Cook the mixture in the crockpot over low heat for 6 hours.

Step6: The last 30 minutes of cook time, stir in the bowtie pasta, spinach, parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Step7: Open the crockpot lid, top with the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella shredded cheese, and serve once it has melted.
