How to keep nacho chips from getting soggy?
Layer your ingredients: Start with a layer of chips, then add a layer of shredded cheese, followed by another layer of chips and so on. By layering your ingredients, you can help distribute the wet ingredients more evenly and prevent any one spot from becoming too soggy.
Bake in the oven: If you’re making oven-baked nachos, try preheating the baking sheet or dish in the oven before adding the chips. This can help keep the chips crisp and prevent them from getting soggy.
Use a slotted spoon: If you’re adding wet ingredients like salsa or beans to your nachos, use a slotted spoon to drain off any excess liquid before adding them to the chips.
Storing and Reheating Leftovers
When it comes to storing and reheating leftover nachos, it’s best to keep the toppings separate from the chips to prevent them from getting soggy.
Store the chips in an airtight container, and keep the toppings in a separate container in the refrigerator.
When you’re ready to reheat, simply warm up the chips in the oven or microwave, and add the toppings back on afterwards.
