What meat goes with tater tots?

Ground turkey and ground beef are the two best meats you can pair with tater tots. The ground chicken comes a close second.

How to serve Grandma’s Meat and Tater Hotdish?

Your Grandma’s meat and tater hotdish is a filling, comforting meal on its own, and can be served just like that. If you really want to go the extra mile, you can pair it with a side salad with lots of crunchy veggies to make it more nutritious and healthy.

Tips

  • You can play around with the ingredients and seasonings of the dish to your heart’s content. If you love Mexican flavors, you can think about adding some taco seasoning.
  • If you love Italian flavors, you can use cream of mushroom soup instead of the cream of onion soup, and use Italian seasoning too.
  • This recipe calls for the use of velveeta cheese, but you can also choose to use shredded Parmesan or sharp cheddar as a topping.

Variations

  • To make this meat and tater hotdish more nutritious and healthy, you can also add some chopped veggies like green beans, peas, bell peppers and even some chopped scallions into it.
  • Frozen corn, chopped carrots, baby spinach and cherry tomatoes can also be great additions to this dish.
