Honey Sesame Chicken

This Honey Sesame Chicken is super sweet and juicy!
Lightly battered to add that golden brown color and texture you crave.

Ingredients:
1 ½ lb. Boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into pieces
2 Tbsp. Olive oil
2 tsp. Minced garlic
For the batter:
⅔ C. All-purpose flour
1 Egg white
½ tsp. Baking powder
¼ C. Cornstarch
½ C. Ice water
Salt to taste
For the sauce:
1 tsp. Sesame oil
½ C. Water
⅓ C. Honey
1 tsp. Apple cider vinegar
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Mix together the ingredients for the batter until well combined.
A. Add the flour
B. Add Baking Soda
C. Add Cornstarch
D. Add ice water
Step 2: Heat a few inches of oil in a deep-sided skillet until it reaches 350 degrees.
Step 3: Dip the chicken into the batter and place it into the oil. Fry until cooked through, crispy, and starting to brown lightly. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 4: Once all of the chicken has been fried, add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 5: Add the garlic to the skillet and saute for 30 seconds.
Step 6: Place the chicken into the skillet.
Step 7: Mix the sauce ingredients together in a bowl and pour over the chicken.
A. Add water
B. Add Sesame Oil
C. Add Honey
D. Add the Apple Cider Vinegar
Step 8: Saute the chicken until the sauce thickens and the chicken is browned.
Step 9: Garnish with sesame seeds.
Serve your Honey Sesame Chicken with a side of rice or mixed vegetables.
