Classic and favorite Old Fashioned Butter Cake made with all purpose flour that’s fluffy and moist!

 

This Old Fashioned Butter Cake is a 100 years old treasure. YUMMM I love this cake! A keeper.

Old Fashioned Butter Cake

You will always want to bake it again and again because it’s unique and so good! I like to serve it with strawberries!

Old Fashioned Butter Cake

Ingredients To Make Butter Cake:

2 C. All purpose flour

1 ¼ C. Granulated sugar

1 Tbsp. Baking powder

1 tsp. Salt

½ C. Softened butter

1 C. Milk

1 tsp. Vanilla extract

2 Large eggs

Icing of your choice

How To Make Old Fashioned Butter Cake:

Step 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease two cake pans well.

Step 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, vanilla and eggs until smooth.

Step 3. Beat in the milk until a creamy and smooth batter has formed.

Step 4. Separate the batter evenly between the two cake pans.

Step 5. Bake for 30 minutes or until browned and cooked through.

Step 6. Let the cakes cool on a rack and remove them from their pans.

Step 7. Once cooled, place a layer of cake on a serving tray and top with a layer of icing.

Step 8. Add the other layer of cake on top and ice the top and sides of the cake well before serving.
