Where does Fettuccini Alfredo originate from?
Some people claim that the dish comes from Rome, while others will state the dish originated in the United States. I am not sure we will ever know the truth.
Can I use a store-bought Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce?
If you are short on time and you like the flavor the store-bought versions have, then go ahead and use a jar of Alfredo Sauce from the store.
What can I use to replace the heavy cream in Alfredo Sauce?
The heavy cream is what makes the sauce so thick and wonderful. However, if you do not mind a thinner version, with less flavor, feel free to use broth or whole milk.
What cheese is best for Alfredo Sauce?
There is multiple types of cheese that could be used. However, you should look for high-quality Parmesan cheese. If that is not available, Pecorino Romano or Asiago Cheese can work.
How can I tell when the shrimp is cooked completely?
When the shrimp is white or pink, and it forms the shape of a C, it is likely cooked completely. If the shrimp appears gray or translucent, the Shrimp needs to be cooked longer.
