I have a tendency of looking for easy dishes to make when I have had a long day. On those days that I do not feel like cooking, however, this Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes are one of the easiest recipes I have had in such a long time.
This one was passed down in our family from my Grandmother. I cherish all the recipes in her collection.

The dish is roasted in a single pan. The potatoes come out crispy on the outside and super tender and fluffy on the inside. The Sausage bites are crispy on the edges and the meat is tender and savory.
Roasting the potatoes and meat together not only makes life easier, but the flavors also tend to meld together and make for an even better flavor.
And the best part? It’s perfect for any time of year.

Why Make This Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes recipe
This is a one-pan dish that is super easy to make and can be versatile. The spices used, if any, are your preference. You could also add vegetables to the baking tray. This will make it a complete meal.
How do I get the potatoes to come out crispy?
The crispness will happen to all the ingredients that have been tossed in the bowl with oil and spices. The potatoes are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The meat has crispy edges but is tender and savory.
Can I use Italian Sausage?
You could use any type of Sausage you and your family prefer. Whether this is Italian Sausage, Smoked Beef Sausage or even Smoked Turkey Sausage.

Ingredients:
- Smoked turkey sausage.
- Onion.
- Baby red potatoes.
- Baby golden potatoes.
- Olive oil.
- Fine sea salt.
- Freshly ground black pepper.
- Smoked paprika.
- Cajun spice.

How to make Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes:
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 400.
Step 2. Line a large baking sheet with tin foil, and spray with cooking spray.
Step 3. Set aside.
Step 4. Cut your turkey sausage into large chunks.
Step 5. Chop the onions into large chunks.
Step 6. Wash and pat dry the potatoes.
Step 7. Cut the baby potatoes in half.
Step 8. In a large bowl add the sausage, onions, and baby potatoes.
Step 9. Top the sausage mixture with olive oil, and toss to coat.
Step 10. In a small bowl add all spices and stir to combine.
Step 11. Sprinkle the sausage mixture with the seasoning mixture.
Step 12. Toss to coat.
Step 13. Pour this out onto the sheet pan and spread out the sausage and potatoes evenly.
Step 14. Place into the pan in the oven and cook for 55 minutes.
Step 15. Test the potato by inserting a fork into it to verify its tender and fully cooked.
Step 16. If it’s not done, cook for another 5 minutes.

- 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
- 6 baby red potatoes
- 6 baby golden potatoes

- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cajun spice

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400.

- Cut your turkey sausage into large chunks.

- Wash and pat dry the potatoes.
- Cut the baby potatoes in half.

- Top the sausage mixture with olive oil, toss to coat.
- In a small bowl add all spices and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the sausage mixture with the seasoning mixture.
- Toss to coat.
- Pour this out onto the sheet pan and spread out the sausage and potatoes evenly.
- Place into the pan in the oven and cook for 55 minutes.
- Test the potato by inserting a fork in it to verify its tender and fully cooked.
- If it’s not done, cook for another 5 minutes.
- Enjoy.

How should I store the Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes?
When dinner is over and you are lucky enough to have some of this great meal left over, be sure it is cooled completely and placed into an airtight container. You can store the container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Can I freeze this food after cooking it?
Yes, you can freeze the Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes. I usually make a double batch for those days when I really don’t have the energy to cook. Cool the food to room temperature, place it into a freezer-safe container, and place it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
How do I reheat the Oven Roasted Sausage and Potatoes?
Reheating the food is easy by wrapping it in Aluminum foil and placing it on a baking tray in a preheated 325* oven. Heat until the food is heated through, about 10 to 15 minutes.
