Is Pepperoni Bread the same as a Pepperoni Roll?
The Pepperoni Roll is made using bread dough. The Pepperoni Pizza Bread is made with pepperoni and cheese. The Pepperoni roll is made using pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese.
How do I serve this?
It is easiest to cut it in half after cooking, then cut each half into slices. It is made by rolling out the bread dough, layering in the pepperoni and the cheese, then the bread is rolled up and placed on a baking tray, and placed in the oven to bake. It can be served with Marinara or your favorite sauce.
Can I make this without Cheese?
Certainly! You can just leave off the cheese as you are assembling the Pepperoni Bread.
Are Pizza dough and bread dough the same?
Bread has an added fat, whether oil or butter. Pizza dough does not have fat in it.
Ingredients:
- Fozen bread dough defrosted
- Deli sliced pepperoni
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Butter unsalted and melted
- A bit of flour for rolling out the dough
How to make Pepperoni Pizza Bread Recipe:
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2. Lay a bit of flour out on a clean dry surface.
Step 3. Roll the defrosted dough out into a rectangular or oval shape about ¼ of an inch thick.
Step 4. Layer the mozzarella along the top of the dough.
Step 5. Place a layer of pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
Step 6. Starting at one end, roll the dough into a log with the cheese and pepperoni on the inside.
Step 7. Place the bread onto a parchment or silicone mat-lined baking sheet, and brush with the melted butter.
Step 8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and browned on top.
Slice and serve.
