If I make my own version of Garlic Toast, will it hold up as well as Texas Toast?
Texas toast is slightly thicker than regular sandwich bread. However, there are many types of loaves that you could get to make your own, and thus be able to slice it to the thickness you would like.
How do I store a Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast Sandwich?
The toast must be completely cooled first. If not, the steak is likely to continue cooking and then become tough. Once the sandwich is cooled, wrap it in Aluminum foil and place it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Can I make these Sandwiches ahead?
You can, then once cooled they should be wrapped in aluminum foil. Then they can be reheated in the oven or in the microwave. Serve with eggs for a great breakfast, or a quicker dinner.
