Why I love Boneless Chipotle Chicken?
This spicy recipe is bursting with flavor, but that’s not the only reason I love it. Here are a few of my reasons (although I’m sure you’ll add more of your own.)
- Versatile — Boneless chipotle chicken provides the fixings for a variety of family meals, like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more.
- Inexpensive
- Low fat
- Healthy Food Choice
What type of meat is chipotle chicken?
Chipotle chicken gets its name from the chipotle pepper used to season the chicken meat. Although some recipes call for boneless, skinless chicken thighs, this chipotle chicken recipe uses boneless chicken breasts.
Is Chipotle flavor spicy?
Chipotle peppers have been smoked and dried. While some chipotle peppers are hotter than others, they are all made from dried jalapeno peppers. Those made with green jalapeno peppers are milder than those made with red jalapeno peppers, but both are fiery and spicy.
Is Chipotle hotter than Jalapeno?
Chipotle sauce is made from chipotle peppers. Chipotle peppers are dried and smoked jalapeno peppers. According to Chili Pepper Madness, chipotle and jalapeno peppers both range from 2,500 to 8,000 on the Scoville Heat Units Scale.
How to serve Boneless Chipotle Chicken?
Chipotle chicken is an excellent filling for tacos or burritos and can be served in salads or rice bowls.
Tips:
- Keep the chicken in the fridge as it marinates.
- Chicken should be cooked until it is no longer pink in the center. Cooking time varies depending on the size of the chicken pieces.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after handling adobo sauce and chili powder. Contact with your face or mucus membranes may cause irritation.
Variations:
- Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of chicken breast for a sweeter variety of chipotle chicken.
- Cook your chicken chipotle in the Instapot, by marinating the chicken in the sauce first. Then, add it to the Instapot and cook on high pressure for 7 minutes. Allow it to vent naturally. Place the chicken under the broiler (or on the grill) for a few minutes to brown it. Then, slice into bite-size pieces and use them in your preferred recipe.
