This recipe is one of my favorites! I know when it is going to be one of those busy days and I will not have time to make a great dinner once I get home. So I toss all the ingredients for Garlic Roasted Chicken into a crock pot and let the crock pot do the work, while I am at work.
This is a perfect recipe for Chicken that comes out tasty and delicious.
I was skeptical about this garlic-roasted chicken recipe at first. I mean, how good could it be? But I decided to give it a try anyway.

What makes this such a great recipe?
The ingredients can all be placed into a crockpot in the morning and let it cook all day long. It is a simple recipe, it is a delicious Garlic Roasted Chicken and everyone is going to love it.
Can you cook a whole chicken in the Crock pot?
Yes, if you have a crock pot that is large enough, you certainly can put a whole chicken in a crock pot.
How long will it take to cook a whole chicken in the crockpot?
The general rule is 6 to 8 hours on a low setting. The chicken must reach a temperature of 165* to be safe to eat.
What if I want my chicken brown and crispy?
You will have to brown the chicken in a skillet on the stovetop first. It should not take long and this will give it the color you want.
What should I serve with Garlic Roasted Chicken?
There are many options for sides for a chicken dinner. I prefer to serve up mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables with the Garlic Roasted Chicken. However, you could serve rice, a salad or even a fruit salad.
Could I also use a Poultry Blend Seasoning on the Chicken?
Be sure to eliminate any spices or seasoning that would be doubled if you use Poultry seasoning. For example, if your poultry seasoning contains salt, do not use added salt for the recipe.
Ingredients:
- Whole Chicken
- Garlic
- Butter
- Chicken Broth
- Paprika, Salt, and Pepper to Taste
How to make Garlic Roasted Chicken in a Crockpot:
Step 1. Rub half of the minced garlic on the inside of the chicken, and the other half on the outside. Place the chicken into the Crockpot.
Step 2. Add paprika, pepper and salt to taste to the outside of the chicken.
Step 3. Pour the broth at the bottom of the Crockpot.
Step 5. Add slices of the butter to the top of the chicken, and scatter the rest around the bottom of the chicken in the Crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

- 1 Whole Chicken, Rinsed and Patted Dry
- 5 tsp Garlic, Minced
- 16 tbsp Butter
- ½ cup Chicken Broth
- Paprika, Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

How should I store the leftovers?
Once cooled to room temperature, the chicken can be placed in an airtight container. You can leave it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The Chicken could also be frozen for up to 3 months.
How should this Chicken be reheated?
I always find it easier to place the chicken back into the crockpot and heat it on low for 3 to 4 hours.
Can I make this dish in advance?
The chicken can be made up to 2 days in advance. Keep it tightly covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
