Mango Margarita with Habanero Pepper
There are so many different ways to enjoy Margaritas from frozen, on the rocks, sweet or spicy-you can’t go wrong. Personally I like mine with a little bit of spice! A little bit of sweet, a little bit of spicy and certainly strong!
The first time I tried a spicy margarita was during a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona and I was instantly hooked. One sip and I can guarantee you’ll be too!
Can I use a ready-made mango margarita mix for this?
If you would prefer, you can use a ready-made mango margarita mix. In this case, you would skip the mango puree and the equal part water as well as the sour mix. The ready-made mix would have these flavors in it. Some people prefer the easiness of the mix rather than the fresh taste of the mango puree.
Can this be turned into a frozen mango margarita?
You can absolutely turn this into a frozen mango margarita. You can either make the margaritas and freeze the drink. Then blend it in the blender to form it into a frozen mango margarita. You can also make the cocktail and put it into the blender with ice.
What is the best tequila for margaritas?
In this recipe, I am using Casa Noble Crystal Tequila. I love the flavor of this brand and it is a nice medium grade tequila. You do not want to use a bottom shelf brand because the harsh flavor will come through in the drink and it takes away from the drink.
Can this Drink be Made into Shots
If you wanted to make this cocktail into shots, you can make a pitcher of the mango margaritas and then serve it shot by shot. This is a fun way to have mango margarita. To bring in all of the flavors, wet the rim of the shot glass and then dip it into salt. This gives the salt that is usually associated with margaritas.
Can this Margarita be Made Ahead
If you want to have this margarita for a get-together or party but don’t want to have to make it drink by drink, you can make it ahead. Make a pitcher of the margarita and then you can still serve it glass by glass but this way, you do not have to stay behind the bar making drinks.
Can I use premade sour mix
Yes. If you do not want to make a homemade sour mix, you can buy store-bought. Many people have moved to make a sour mix at home to create the bright flavors that come with homemade. However, if you choose to use a store-bought premade sour mix, you will wave a few steps and the cocktail will still taste amazing.
