Can I use fresh pineapple or canned pineapple?
If you choose to use fresh pineapple, be sure to puree or dice the pineapple into smaller pieces. This is done to give the same texture in the final product.
Can I use melted butter for the cake rather than oil?
You can do that switch. However, you do need to remember that butter does contain water and oil does not. You will want to be careful how much you use so that the cake is not too liquidy.
