  • Cream of celery soup
  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Chopped parsley
  • Poultry seasoning
  • Oregano
  • Celery flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chicken broth
  • Bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • Refrigerated biscuits
  • Chopped parsley for garnish if desired

How to make Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings:

Step 1. Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker.

Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker.

Step 2. Add the chicken breasts on top of the onion.

Step 3. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 can of cream of celery soup and 1 can of cream of chicken soup.

Step 4. Then, add chopped parsley.

Step 5. Then, add 1 tbsp poultry seasoning.

Step 6. Then, add ½ tsp oregano.

Step 7. Then, add ½ tsp of celery flakes and salt and pepper to taste.

Step 8. Mix to combine.

Step 9. Spread the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.

Step 10. Pour two cups of chicken broth into the slow cooker, place the lid on it, and cook on high for 5 hours.

Step 11. Remove and shred the chicken before adding it back to the slow cooker.

Step 12. Sprinkle a bag of frozen mixed vegetables into the slow cooker.

Step 13. Break the biscuits into dumpling-sized pieces and put them into the slow cooker, stir the mixture to combine, place the lid back on, and cook on high for an additional hour.

Step 14. Serve with freshly chopped parsley for garnish if desired.

  • ½ Large onion chopped
  • 2 lbs. Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 Can cream of celery soup
  • 1 Can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. Poultry seasoning
  • ½ tsp. Oregano
  • ½ tsp. Celery flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 C. Chicken broth
  • 1 Bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 Can Refrigerated biscuits
  • Chopped parsley for garnish if desired

Instructions

  • Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Add the chicken breasts on top of the onion.
