Can I Use A Shallot Or Onion?

You can actually use either an onion or a shallot for this recipe. Both are great options. A shallot tends to have a less sharp flavor than an onion. Either one would work fine for this recipe.

Any Substitute For Vinegar?

There isn’t much that works the way vinegar does to give you the best flavor. The best substitute is going to be apple cider vinegar in place of white vinegar in this recipe.

Can I Use Another Pasta Shape?

Sure! You can use any kind of pasta that you like. The best cold salad pasta is penne, farfalle, or rotini, but anything should work without too much trouble.

What Kind Of Canned Tuna Should I Use?

It’s best to use a light tuna because it should have less mercury in it. Any canned tuna will work, but you certainly want to limit your mercury intake, so keep that in mind.

Can I Make Tuna Macaroni Salad In Advance?

Yep! It will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. It should be kept cold whenever you aren’t serving it. Also, it’s important to keep it stored in an airtight container for the best results.

Can I Use Miracle Whip Instead Of Mayonnaise?

Miracle Whip has a more zesty flavor, and mayonnaise has more of a creamy base. So, you should keep that in mind before making the swap. Both work and taste great, but it depends on your flavor preferences.

Can I Use Chicken Instead Of Tuna?

Absolutely! Get a can of chicken instead of tuna. Rinse it with cool water and follow the rest of the directions. Enjoy!
