Peach Pie Cupcakes Recipe

If you are a fan of all things peach flavored, then you are in for a special treat. You start off with a yellow cake mix, and with a few easy adjustments, this will be the best peach cupcake recipe you’ll ever taste.

The last time I made this peach filled cupcake recipe, they disappeared from the dessert table incredibly fast and in a matter of minutes. I like to serve them in the late summer early fall because peaches are in season, and everybody is craving them. Let me just say, everyone at this party was more than happy to indulge in these easy peach cupcakes.

Can I Use Store Bought Frosting

Yes, if you would rather use store-bought frosting instead of the homemade frosting, that is completely fine. The homemade frosting is super easy to make in case that is your fear. To make the frosting at home; you would need five ingredients along with a piping bag and a star tip. Using store-bought frosting is a quick and easy solution for those times that you’re in a big hurry. I have done this in the past, and the peach pie cupcakes turn out great every time.

Can I Use Homemade Cake Mix Instead of Boxed

Yes, I like the convenience of using a store-bought boxed cake because it’s fast and easy, and it saves me a few steps. However, if you have a recipe for a yellow or white cake that you use all the time, go ahead and use it for these peach pie cupcakes. This recipe is actually very versatile, so whatever you like will be perfect.

Could I replace peach pie filling with fresh peach slices?

No, the peach pie filling is sweetened and has added spices in other ingredients to make it a perfect combination with the cupcakes. You could, however, use a couple of fresh peach slices to place on top as a garnish.

Storing Cupcakes

You will need to keep the peach pie cupcakes in an airtight container. They should be kept away from heat, steam, or sunlight. The cupcakes will last in the storage container for up to four days.

You could also refrigerate them as long as they’re kept are tight. If you decide to refrigerate them, keep them away from other strong smelling foods.

This will prevent them from taking on any of the different food flavors.

Can I Freeze Cupcakes

Yes, you can freeze these peach cupcakes. After they’ve cooled down, go ahead and put them inside of a freezer-safe container that has a tight-fitting lid. You want to make sure the container is deep enough that you can place the cupcakes, so they don’t get smashed when you add the cover. Keep them in the freezer for up to two months. When you’re ready to serve them, place them on the counter and let them thaw. Or refrigerate them until you’re ready to serve.

All of the ingredients for these homemade peach cupcakes are fairly basic. You probably have most of them on hand, and they’re all very simple to work with.
