Certainly, be sure to wash, peel and chop the carrots into small pieces. The small pieces of carrots will be cooked along with the rest of the casserole.
What can I serve with the Shipwreck Casserole?
I usually have freshly baked rolls to accompany the casserole. You could also serve a salad, vegetables or mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
- Beef (Ground)
- Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
- Milk
- Tomatoes
- Corn Kernels
- Green Peas
- Cheddar Cheese
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
Step 1. Saute the ground beef in a saucepan or skillet over medium-high heat until completely browned. Drain the excess fat.
Step 2. Add the powdered cheese mix and noodles from the Kraft mac and cheese box to the skillet or saucepan. Stir to combine well.
Step 3. Place the tomatoes, milk, frozen corn, frozen peas, and salt to taste.
Step 4. Cover, bring to a boil, and then simmer for 12-15 minutes until the noodles are tender.
Step 5. Top with the shredded cheese, allow to melt, and serve.
