What is Cube Steak?
Cube steak is a cut of beef that should be tenderized using a meat mallet, before cooking. Tenderizing the Cube Steaks help to break up the fibers in the meat and make it much more tender.
Whip up this cube steak with onion gravy for another option.
What type of Mushrooms or Onions should I use?
There is not certain type of either. I prefer the sliced white mushrooms and I use Vidalia or white onions. You could use sliced cremini mushrooms or button mushrooms in the gravy.
If I soak the meat in milk will it help to make it tender?
The lactic acid in the milk does help to break down the fibers in the meat. If you want to try this, soak the meat for at least 30 minutes.
