Ingredients For Baked Shrimp Linguini:

8 oz. Linguini pasta noodles

1 lb. Shrimp peeled and deveined

2 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Pepper

1 tsp. Red pepper flakes

6 Tbsp. Butter melted

2 tsp. Minced garlic

1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

½ C. White cooking wine

Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

Shrimp: You can purchase raw, deveined, and peeled shrimp at your local supermarket. This will save time. I recommend avoiding using pre-cooked shrimp, as overcooking shrimp can result in a rubbery texture and taste.

White cooking wine: If you do not have white cooking wine at home or if you prefer to cook without it, consider swapping it for ginger ale or in some cases, even apple cider vinegar. These give the dish a zesty, tangy, touch.

Red pepper flakes: Swap the red pepper flakes for a dash of cayenne pepper. You can also try variations including both Creole and Cajun seasonings, depending on how hot and spicy you want your shrimp linguini!

Minced garlic: If you don’t have any freshly minced garlic on hand, you can use garlic paste, canned garlic, or, in some instances, just a bit of garlic salt or powder.

Linguini pasta noodles: While this classic dish calls for linguini noodles, you can swap the noodles for traditional spaghetti noodles or even angel hair, depending on your preferences.

How to Make It

Step 1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. While your oven is preheating, prepare your ingredients for this simple baked shrimp linguini meal.

Step 2. In an oven-safe baking dish, combine the shrimp, butter, cooking wine, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine well.

Step 3. Bake for 10-15 minutes until cooked through. Shrimp cooks quickly, so this step is mostly about warming all the ingredients together as your pastas is cooking.

Step 4. While the shrimp is cooking, boil and cook the noodles to your liking and drain. Most noodles require 8 to 12 minutes until al dente’ or until your desired texture. Drain the noodles completely once they’re cooked through.

Step 5. Toss the shrimp and sauce in with the linguini noodles in another bowl and serve.

Tips for Success

Use linguini noodles for a classic version of this recipe. If you’re swapping noodle types, however, try to use longer noodles to keep this dish as authentic as possible!

Avoid overcooking your shrimp so they taste tender and delectable, not rubbery or overcooked!

Storage and Reheating

You can store this healthy baked shrimp linguini version for 3 to 4 days in your refrigerator when doing so in airtight containers. Traditional Tupperware is suitable for this recipe. You can store your linguini in single servings or altogether.

You can freeze this shrimp linguini using the same airtight containers or containers designed for freezing. Freeze for up to 2 months. Always thaw your linguini before reheating it.

To reheat your shrimp linguini, place a serving in an oven-friendly dish at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 15 minutes, or until warmed. You can also use your microwave, microwaving each serving for 2 to 3 minutes, or until warm and ready!
